The London Eye, one of London's most breathtaking landmarks situated on Southbank by the River Thames. Offering unbeatable views, the London Eye is perfect for all occasions, whether it be family bonding or a romantic date. For me, however, time with friends was all I needed to experience the popular tourist attraction.
The London Eye, sponsored by Coca-Cola, is more than what meets the eye, and with a range of offers and packages available, let me talk through some of these tickets and pricing now…
So like any famous attraction, there's something for everyone. You name it, from saver tickets to private champagne pods, London 'Eye' has more potential than you think. Prices start from £19.50 when booked online in advance for visits until Nov 10th, so if you're not wanting to burn a too bigger hole in your pocket, you should book now!
Now the London Eye's not just for tourists, but let's face it, most are and so this deal is perfect for those wanting to save on sight-seeing! From £40pp, you can choose not just the London Eye but a second major UK attraction, making your day out of fun far less, saving you unto £21.
In contrast, there are those special moments where you may want something more special - this is where champers and a more hefty price tag of £36 comes in. If you're feeling even more extra, you can add on chocolates and extra glasses of champagne for more cash. If this still isn't enough and you want an entire pod to yourself for you and up to 25 guests, the cost comes in at £550.
What you should know
- A full rotation of the Eye takes 30 minutes. Without going for a VIP option where one can go for a two rotation option, this is how long your experience will last.
- Obviously going on a Saturday during the summer holidays is going to be more crowded compared to that of a Monday during term time, so be clever about when you book. Queues can take up to 2 hours during the busiest times, but in my case, the wait time took 15-20 minutes due to strategic planning. Visit their website at www.londoneye.com to search and book your tickets.
- Pods, whether you go private or sharing, all have their own dedicated host. My host was great, she guided us through each and every step of my experience, whether it was me giving a prep talk or pouring the champagne.
