The London Eye lit up at night makes for a a dazzling display. During the 2012 Olympic Games its sponsors, the energy company EDF, are set to present a nightly light show from 9-10pm measuring the mood of the Twitter-sphere and projecting the results on the Eye.

The Social Media driven light show will be monitoring Twitter for key phrases including "#Energy 2012" and searching for key words, phrases and emoticons from positive ["brilliant"] to negative [":-("], gauging the enthusiasm of the British public to the Olympic Games.

The results will be displayed as a light show on the Eye and online at the EDF Energy website.

Nearest Train/Tube: Waterloo, Embankment.
