There's a party to be shared and you are invited.
Celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games over summer with the largest cultural celebration the history of the modern Olympic and Paralympics have ever seen.
Over the previous 4 years, over 18 million people all over the UK have joined in with over 9,000 performances and more than 8,000 workshops as part the terrific celebration.

Now it is your turn to be part of this amazing experience.
Mixing up local and global themes, the UK will celebrate their heritage intertwined with the enhancement of global communities.
Whether your interest is classical music, a regional carnival celebration, amazing exhibitions or outdoor arts, the team have worked to cover all tastes and hope to delight you over summer.

When: 21 June - 9 September 2012.
What: 12,000 events & performances with over 25,000 artists from all 204 participating Olympic nations, happening all across the UK.
Delight: in world class musicians, comics, artists, film makers, arts, events.
Where: unusual places all over the UK.

How much: more than 16,000 free tickets are available for concerts over 6 Thames side locations with line ups from Matthew Herbert, King Sunny Ade, Transglobal Underground and the Invisibles.

Join in: if you would like to get more involved, there are plenty of opportunities. From enjoying. Concert, perusing the arts through to amazing events.
On 14 July, everyone is invited to fill the streets and public spaces in Big Dance Street Day, under the creative direction of Wayne McGregor, plus hundreds of Big Dance events all over the UK.
What else: The World Shakespeare Festival, has events from Afghanistan, Pakistan and South Sudan and co-productions with the RSC from Brazil, Mexico, Iraq, Russia and Tunisia.
What about the UK's largest programme celebrating art, by disabled and Deaf people. Includes five collaborative works of art by British and international artists.
