If you're the type of person who longs to escape from the crowded, impersonal horrors of coffee shop chains, I can assure you that Local Hero will satisfy your needs. Situated behind Kingston's Market Square, Local Hero provides an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of the town centre; its tasteful olive green and wooden exterior is instantly inviting, and the rustic interior promotes a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.


Aside from being aesthetically pleasing, Local Hero is also worth celebrating for its fantastic grub! Offering a range of cakes and pastries, as well as an extensive breakfast and lunch menu, it's a far cry from the measly selection of sandwiches that can be found at most regular coffee shops. All food is freshly made and beautifully presented, and comes at a very reasonable price; however, my personal excuse for returning time and time again, is the unbeatable coffee! It's deliciously smooth in whatever form, from Latte to Cappuccino to Macchiato, as well as the humble Americano. And to top it all off, the staff are cheerful and engaging, which makes the whole experience such a treat; you really must find time to visit this little gem!
