Lizzie Fitch/Ryan Trecartin Exhibition
It is hard to describe the work of Lizzie Fitch and Ryan Trecartin. The artists share a long history of collaboration, but being based in Los Angeles, their appearance at the Zabludowicz Collection marks their first UK solo exhibition.
The two artists combine several mediums together, such as sculpture and film to create an expressive installation. The exhibition is not a collection of individual works sat side by side, but should rather be seen its entirety.
The
Lizzie Fitch/Ryan Trecartin exhibit opens on the 2nd October and runs until the 21st December. It presents a complete reconfiguration of a previous installation called
Priority Innfield, which was commissioned for the 55th Venice Biennale in 2013.
The gallery has been transformed into a series of sculptural spaces representing urban areas, such as park/picnic benches. Visitors are welcomed to sit down and watch four 'movies'. The audio of these pieces has been remastered to bring a new atmosphere to the original.
On the opening night at 6pm, guests will be able to explore the installation through an immersive programme of live events.
