Lie-ins are something most of us look forward to at the weekend, but for some, nothing is more invigorating than an early morning run. The cool morning air wakes you up, and the rush of adrenaline gets you read to face the day. If you're one of those people, then the
Liverpool Half Marathon fits the bill.
The half marathon has been running for four years now, and 2013 has a new course with an earlier starting time of 9am. On the 17th March 8000 participants will gather on Canada Boulevard ready for the gun to fire and the race to start.
The thirteen mile course will take you on a journey through the highlights of Liverpool city, including sites such as the Anglican Cathedral, Albert Dock, and The Three Graces Pier Head. You will also get the beautiful scenic views of Prince's, Sefton, and Otterspool Park, as well as the Festival Gardens.
Liverpool's Half Marathon is a flat course, so suitable for novices, amateurs, and pros alike. It is £32 to
enter and everyone who participates will get a medal and a t-shirt.
