Little willows is a shop that is as unique as Pinner High Street, where it is located. The business was created by Kelly and Catherine and specialises in hand made pottery, keepsake boxes, toy boxes and height charts for children. You can also attend one of their classes or courses that cater for all age groups from 2 to 102 and take your own craftwork home.
Lindsey showed me round the shop and explained about the pottery painting, Decopatch, and messy play sessions as well as knitting, watercolour painting and furniture up-cycling workshops. Just as long as your child can hold a paintbrush they can get in touch with their creative inner selves. Adults can also have fun with Annie Sloan paints and learn new techniques to revitalise tired furniture. And how about a cushion cover to go on your up-cycled chair? You can take part in a knitting course to create a cover for a cushion pad.
If you aren't particularly creative you can purchase a range of products that have been made by those who are. The staff will even make prints from your baby's hands and feet. Wouldn't that make a fantastic memento for the grandparents?
Parties can be organised upstairs at little willows for your own little saplings. Let your children do all the work, rather than just sit back and watch an entertainer. A range of activities including Decopatch, Build a Bear and Pottery Painting are on offer.
Full details of all activities and workshops can be found on little willows' website.
Pinner is on the Metropolitan line and bus routes 183, H11, H12, H13.
