Grammy Award-winning country group
Little Big Town return to the UK for six live performances in September and October 2017.
Kicking off at
Manchester's Albert Hall on September 28, the band will make its way to
Birmingham's O2 Institute on September 29,
The Sage in Gateshead on October 1,
Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall on October 2,
Bristol's Colston Hall on October 3 and
London's Royal Albert Hall on October 5.
The London date is part of the
Albert Sessions which encourage up-and-coming acts to play the venue, attracting younger audiences through lower ticket prices. The sessions feature masterclasses where the headline act shares expertise with young people from schools across London. Previous headliners have included Chvrches, The Tallest Man on Earth, Lianne La Havas, Kacey Musgraves, Jake Bugg, Foals and First Aid Kit.
Little Big Town are already big on the American country music circuit – their latest album's first single, the
Taylor Swift -penned
Better Man, was number one on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.
The Breaker is the group's seventh studio album, and follows up
Wanderlust, their collaboration with
Pharrell last year.
Little Big Town is Karen Fairchild, Phillip Sweet, Kimberly Schlapman and Jimi Westbrook. They first entered the music scene more than 18 years ago with hits such as
Boondocks, Bring It On Home, Good As Gone and the Grammy-nominated single
Little White Church. Albums such as
Tornado and
Pain Killer, and number one singles
Pontoon, Tornado, Day Drinking and the best-selling country single of 2015
Girl Crush, have helped build-up a huge fanbase. In fact, may critics claim they just about stole the show at last year's
C2C: Country to Country music event.
In October 2014, the group fulfilled a career milestone and lifelong dream when
Reba McEntire asked them to become the newest members of the
Grand Ole Opry . Two weeks later, they were inducted. In the past five years they have taken home nearly 20 awards, including multiple Grammy, CMA and ACM awards, and an Emmy award. They are the reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year and at the 2016 Grammy Awards they won "Best Country Group/Duo Performance" and
Girl Crush was named "Best Country Song".
Joining Little Big Town on their UK tour is breakout country newcomer
Seth Ennis . The 24 year-old multi-instrumentalist co-wrote, co-produced and played all parts on his debut single
Woke Up In Nashville. A Georgia native, during 2017 he is set to join the
Florida Georgia Line Dig Your Roots tour, the
Tim McGraw and
Faith Hill Soul2Soul world tour, the
Billy Currington Stay Up 'Til the Sun tour and
Luke Bryan 's
Huntin', Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day tour.
