The Lion Meets the Unicorn
lionboy, unicorn theatre

The first novel of Zizou Corder's young adult trilogy has been adapted for the stage. Lionboy is about a boy called Charlie, who is just like any other child except for one key difference. He can speak the language of cats. It is this special gift that could help save his kidnapped parents, and free six lions from the circus.

Directed by Annabel Arden, Lionboy will play at the Unicorn Theatre between the 9th-21st July. Tickets are 16 for adults, 13 concessions, and 10 for under 21s.

While you are there, you can also learn about the Magical Mechanics used in the play, at a 3 exhibition that includes interactive, comical, and beautifully made automata. It will be open everyday between 10.30am - 5.30pm, and aims to increase your understanding of how machines work through the use of drives, pulleys, ratchets, and levers.
