Quite possibly the best and most fun exercise I have ever given a go. I am not a massive gym fan personally, I join a gym, pay extortionate amounts and then go once a month if that. The thought of running machines, cross trainers, sweat and pumping muscles all around me makes my blood run cold and fills me with dread, so I decided to look into what other sort of activity I could get into to help me get fit, and stumbled across Zumba.
The Lindsay Jay Fitness classes are just brilliant, full of modern / Spanish / salsa music with fun dances that are easy to follow and brilliant to get involved in. Each class lasts 60 minutes with a warm up and warm down and it is fun to go alone or with friends.
On a Tuesday, it gets very very busy, so I would definitely recommend getting there by 6:15pm to secure your place whereas Saturday mornings are slightly less popular, perhaps due to the Friday night boozy end of work nights out.
These classes have everything you could want from an hour of exercise; no one judging you, zero competitiveness, hard work but with a fun twist and lots and lots of sweat. So turn up in your gym kit and trainers, bring your £7 and away you go - oh and remember some water, you'll need it!
Well said Anna. Though being in the States prevents my attending class at Lyndsey Jay Fitness, Lindsey's site is one of the very few I allow on my Facebook for friends to learn about Zumba. Each and every one of you are Brilliant! Dean
