Smile away the winter and look ahead to the spring
A glittering new Winter/Spring season has been announced by the Lichfield Garrick theatre in Staffordshire with a huge variety of West End productions, musicals, drama, star names, top class live music and blockbuster films to look forward to over the coming months. Theatregoers can eagerly anticipate West End producer Bill Kenwright's thriller The Cat and the Canary, which arrives for a week next March, before he returns later in the season, in April, with the award-winning musical Blood Brothers by Willy Russell. Continuing the musical theme is Menopause The Musical 2: Cruising Through the Menopause, the fun-filled sequel to the smash-hit show Menopause The Musicalģ, which can also be seen in March.

Harpy, Su Pollard
Former Hi-de-Hi favourite Su Pollard stars in one-woman show Harpy

Drama returns to the Garrick stage in February with the first UK tour of Blackeyed Theatre's production of Jayne Eyre, a beautiful, brooding love story with a little Gothic horror and specially commissioned music. And, later on in the season, national treasure and former Hi-de-Hi star Su Pollard stars in hit one-woman show Harpy by Fringe First winner Philip Meeks. The story is of Birdie, a hoarder, who regard her 'collection' as a hazard for house prices. Looking further ahead, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, one of the longest running productions in the West End and a classic thriller, visits the Garrick for just one week.

As part of the new season, the Garrick is also delighted to welcome theatre maker and HIV activist Nathaniel Hall who brings his one man show First Time to Lichfield on February 7.
