A theatre in Staffordshire is launching its biggest-ever season through to 2025, featuring a fantastic programme of shows with something for all ages and audiences. The multi award-winning Lichfield Garrick is bringing everything from West End drama to side-splitting comedy. The season kicks off with Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan from the hit ITV quiz The Chase who brings her Out of the Box tour to Lichfield. She promises to deliver an intimate evening of song and storytelling with a few showbiz secrets thrown in!

That kicks off a jam-packed season of drama and comedy, including Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote and Murder for Two, for all true crime and murder mystery lovers, as well as Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd and Merry Opera’s Die Fledermaus for fans of the classics. The Garrick is also thrilled to present an in-house production in April 2025, of Elly Brewer and Sandi Toksvig’s The Pocket Dream, described as a hilarious reimagining of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy. The Pocket Dream will feature Garrick's favourite panto duo, Sam Rabone and Ben Thornton.

The production is adapted and directed by Lichfield Garrick’s Chief Executive and Artistic Director, Daniel Buckroyd, who says: “We love hosting the very best touring theatre, music and comedy at the Garrick, but there’s nothing quite like producing shows ourselves; a chance for our multi-talented team of theatre-makers to take centre stage and for local audiences to enjoy a production that’s been made right here in Lichfield.

"Sandi Toksvig and Elly Brewer’s re-imagining of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream has everything you could ever want in a night out at the theatre – drama, romance, theatrical tricks-a-plenty and LOTS of laughs - and that’s before Sam Rabone and Ben Thornton get involved! It promises to be huge fun and we can’t wait to get into the rehearsal room to bring Sandi & Elly’s hilarious script to life and share it with our audiences.”

And The Queen of the West End, Kerry Ellis, will be singing everyone's show favourites in October.

Comedy lovers will be spoilt for choice, with street cop turned BBC radio star, Alfie Moore, hilarious powerhouse Omid Djalili who stops off for two evenings on his stand-up tour, Namaste, and Milton Jones, the star of TV shows such as Mock the Week and Live at the Apollo, who brings his Ha!Milton tour to Lichfield in March 2025.
