Big Band Jazz, Swing & Boogie-Woogie in Lichfield
On the weekend of 1st to 3rd June, Lichfield Arts is hosting the Blues and Jazz Festival. This is the fourth year the event has been held in the City Centre with this year's event having an explosive line-up of new talent and seasonable performers. There is something to suit every person's tastes from acoustic to strident blues, Big Band Jazz, Swing and Boogie-Woogie, all of which can be seen at fine venues and pubs in the City's Centre.
Lichfield Arts is a non-profit registered independent CIO Charity which aims to be recognised as the leading community arts organisation in the United Kingdom. A board of trustees has overall control of the charity and are responsible for making sure it is on track to continually do what it is supposed to do. The charity has over 300 members including 125 registered volunteers. Lichfield Arts supports the development of local artists through their outreach projects.
Entry to the Festival will cost between £10 - £25; however, there will be some free events. You can buy your tickets online here. As Lichfield Arts holds several concerts and festivals throughout the year, you may like to keep up to date with what is coming up, so you can subscribe to their newsletter on their website
