It has been fifty years since Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, and Ringo Starr formed what would become the world's most successful rock 'n roll band. Starting from humble beginnings, who was to know that these Liverpudlian lads would become such a sensation? They toured the world in their little yellow submarine, and legends that they are now it is hard to believe that The Beatles were only active for about a decade. It feels so much longer, but that is simply because their music has endured in the hearts of all their fans.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of The Beatles,
Let It Be is being played at the Savoy Theatre. The jam-packed theatrical concert takes you on the group's journey to stardom, from their beginnings in Liverpool's Cavern Club right through to the epidemic 'Beatlemania' of the 1960s. The show is bulging with forty of the band's greatest hits, such as
Twist and Shout,
She Loves You,
Hey Jude, and the eponymous,
Let it Be.
Bookings are being taken for up to the 5th October 2013, with standard tickets between £20-£60. You can also book premium seats for £90.
