Lego fun and more for the whole family
Everything is truly awesome at Legoland!

If you have little ones (and even bigger ones) who just can't get enough of all things Lego (and let's face it, who doesn't love Lego?) then Legoland is the most awesome place on Earth!

Located in Windsor on land that was once a safari park, Legoland is one of the top most-visited theme parks in the UK and Europe.

I have a Lego-mad son, and so when my little family and I toured the UK last year, we absolutely had to go to Legoland. And yes, we had an awesome time, as Emmet Brickowski, the hero of the Lego movies, would say. Here are ten reasons why Legoland is truly awesome and why you should go there!

1. Awesome rides.
Theme parks are all about the rides, and you'll find lots of them at Legoland. Legoland is divided into themed lands and each land has its own rides. Such as LEGO City and its City Driving School ride.

And the LEGO City Fire Academy.

The Knight's Kingdom has a thrilling Dragon Coaster ride, which we rode on three times!

And there's Lego Ninjago World that's just perfect for fans of popular kids TV show, Lego Ninjago Masters of Spinjitzu.

2. Even more awesome rides.
But wait, there's more! Such as the Haunted House Monster Party ride with Lord Vampyre.

And the super fun Pirate Falls Treasure Quest ride at Pirate Shores.

You can also go on an exciting deep sea adventure in LEGO City.

And if you love Vikings, then the Land of the Vikings has a wild river rapids ride called Vikings River Splash.

3. Awesome Lego displays.
Dotted throughout the park in all the different lands and spread right throughout the resort are incredible Lego displays such as these.

4. Awesome shows.
There are also live shows for the whole family. We saw 'The Pirates of Skeleton Bay', an absolutely fun live action show featuring acrobatics and swashbuckling swordplay.

5. Awesome shopping.
This was one of my son's favourite things about Legoland: the gift shops! There's the Big Shop, the Little Shop, Heartlake Shopping Mall, and more. We picked up quite a few Lego bits and pieces along the way!

6. Awesome food.
You won't go hungry at Legoland! You'll find plenty of family restaurants such as City Walk Pizza and Pasta, Harbourside Fish and Chips, Pirates' Burger Kitchen, and the Knights' Table in the Knights' Kingdom. There's also Heartlake Cafe in Heartlake City, the Heartlake City Ice Cream Parlour, Legoland Coffee Co. and more!

7. Awesome MINI LAND.
My favourite part of Legoland was this: the incredible Mini Land featuring model scenes from countries all over the world.

8. Awesome events.
You can celebrate special events and holidays at Legoland, such as Christmas, Easter, 'Brick or Treat' Halloween, and the Fireworks Spectacular held in November.

9. Awesome resorts.
During our visit, we stayed at the Legoland Resort Hotel, located within Legoland itself. There's also the Legoland Castle Hotel.

The Legoland Resort Hotel has themed rooms. We stayed in a pirate-themed room and my son absolutely loved it! The room also contained a box of Lego bricks for him to enjoy during our stay, as well as a hidden Lego gift which he enjoyed searching for. The Legoland Resort Hotel also offers a fabulous free breakfast, free parking, and awesome evening entertainment for the children as well as exclusive Meet and Greet sessions with Lego characters.

And finally,
10. Awesome EMMET!
Just like meeting Mickey Mouse in Disneyland, meeting Emmet is one of the biggest thrills of Legoland. My son met his Lego Movie hero, Emmet. And he got to dance with him to everyone's favourite song, 'Everything is Awesome!'
