Leeds: What to do in Winter

Summer has now been and gone, and sadly. winter will be fast approaching. If you look closely, Christmas trinkets are already appearing in the shops and the nights are getting much, much colder.



Fortunately, Leeds is one of those cities in which there is something to amuse you in all weathers. I come from an area of England which only boasts entertainment during the summer months, so to me it's a gift to be able to find activities even when it's raining or icy outside.

OK Karaoke Bar is a great place to go for a night out during the winter. Not only is the atmosphere warm and intimate, but their private booths mean that you and your friends can have a cosy and low-key night out without being exposed to the cold or outdoor queuing. Bierkeller also makes for a very joyous night, when everybody gets up to dance on the benches and drink their steins, you will forget the cold and be truly cheered.

During the day, the Henry Moore Institute, the Art Gallery and the Museum are all in very close proximity to each other. Stopping for a coffee in their cafes after your visit are also calm ways to spend a winter's day. And of course, the Leeds Christmas Markets are never far away!
