Time to Meet Timmy
See the sheep getting sheered
Want to give the kids something to look forward to this May half term? Well they could be in for a Sheep-tastic Time at Lee Valley's Park Farms. Fun and educational, between the 25th May - 2nd June, they will not only be able to see the sheep getting sheered, but follow all the processes their fleeces go through afterwards.
Local spinners will be demonstrating how to spin wool.
Make your own felt apples in a felt-making workshop.
Meet the Timmy Sheep the loveable cartoon character from Timmy Time.
The singing sheerer will be giving the sheep a close shave. You will also learn how to knit a wooly hat.
Another demonstration in wool spinning.
During the weekend you will also be able to count sheep in a farm trail, take part in other craft activities, play in the indoor & outdoor play areas, and meet the farm animals. The farm is open 10am-5pm, an during the holiday period ticket prices are £8.50 for over 16s, £7 for 2-16 year olds, and under 2s go free.
