L.A. Edwards at O2 Institute, Birmingham

Luke Andrew Edwards is an American singer-songwriter with extremely talented friends and family. Performing and recording as L.A. Edwards , the Californian and his band are supporting The White Buffalo (aka Jake Smith) at Birmingham's O2 Institute on April 19, 2022.

Those talented friends and family? His latest album, Blessings From Home, was recorded with Luke's brothers, Jay (keyboards) and Jerry (drums), and the rhythm section of Ron Blair and Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers .

L.A.'s self-recorded solo debut of 2015, the Secrets We'll Never Know EP, marked a departure from his folk/acoustic roots to a rock band sound reminiscent of many of his childhood influences, such as CCR, Jackson Browne, Tom Petty and the Beach Boys. He began touring America's West Coast with his brother Jerry on drums.

There was a return to the studio in 2017 to record the album True Blue. Produced by Ron Blair, the record evolved into a classic rock sound with electric guitars, Hammond B3 organ, and steady backbeats. Upon its release, L.A. and his five-piece band toured heavily, building to larger stages and audiences of sold-out festivals and theatres across the US. The tour included appearances with the Beach Boys, The White Buffalo, Jefferson Starship and Amanda Shires, along with big festival sets.

The band came off the road in early 2020 to write and record Blessings From Home which further builds on the group's expansion into a lush rock sound, while returning to the folk roots of L.A.'s upbringing and early career. Luke's brothers, Jay and Jerry, again provided solid backing, and Ron Blair and Steve Ferrone were recruited as the rhythm section.

The single, Trouble, taken from Blessings From Home, is out now, with a brand new track, The Crow, released on May 27.
