When Gareth and his wife went to Korea on their honeymoon, the foodie not only got a chance to meet his new in-laws, but also sample the cuisine. Everything he tasted became his new favourite food, but the one that stuck with him most was a homemade bulgogi burger, a dish of thin beef slices marinated and grilled on a barbecue.

When they got home, the couple attempted to make their own version, and he liked it so much, he wanted to share it with others. That's when Busan BBQ was born, and they started to spread the 'Amerikorean Dream'.

Busan BBQ is a pop-up restaurant that fuses American and Korean food to create awesome flavours. Their next event will be at the Dead Doll's Club in Hoxton, and tickets are £20. There are three available slots: 7.30pm on the 16th May and 6.30pm or 9pm on the 17th May. The menu includes sticky chicken wings with sour cream or spicy chilli sauce, spicy pork belly with gochujang (hot pepper) sauce, or a Mac 'n' Cheese with kimchi (pickled cabbage) and bacon topping. This will be followed by toffee apple cake with a salted caramel sauce and cream.
