I had heard a great deal about Bath before I decided to road trip there with some girlfriends. What I wasn't expecting though, was a sneaky Thai restaurant blowing my tastebuds out of the water. The find was none other than Koh Thai Tapas.

When I think of Bath, I think of tea, cupcakes and French food. Don't ask me why that combination comes to mind, but it does. You can obviously imagine my joy to see an Asian joint that boasted my personal favourite: Thai Sliced Crispy Beef and the infamous Thai Green Curry.





Koh Thai Tapas has a chilled atmosphere with slightly subdued lighting, creating a relaxing environment. Ample seating adorns the polished wooden floors and a long bar serving cocktails and a collection of global beers welcomes you on your arrival.

The wait is not long at all and it will only take you half the time to scan the menu and begin working on an effective list of items in your head for consumption. Choose from fragrant curries, to filling sides, soups and stir fries.



A table of four girls, straight from a three hour drive is a recipe for the gorge monster. Between all of us we were able to share an interesting collection.

We decided to order the Thai Green Curry, The Slow Cooked 24-Hour Ribs, Sliced Crispy Beef, the Massamann Curry, the Jungle Curry and last, but certainly not least, the Tempura Prawns.

I have three words for our collective choices: spicy delicious food.
We all left the venue 100% satisfied with the shared dishes. If I could recommend one item from our list, I would suggest the 24-Hour Ribs. Succulent meat that falls off the bone and melts in your mouth is a genius find.

Do yourself a favour and visit Koh Thai Tapas. You will leave with a smile on your face and a satisfied stomach.
