After three years of planning, Kingston Connections is ready to tell their story. Between the 22nd - 30th June discover a fantastic realm of fantasy and creativity through word, music, dance, film, and performance. Kingston is inviting you participate an a week that intends to connect culture and community through a series of lectures, talks, and debates taking place around the town.
Tickets to the events cost up to £15,although many are free. For example, at Kingston University you can explore the hidden meanings behind fairytales, examine how 'Britishness' is depicted in novels, and read a series of personnel narratives written by people who have decided to wrk in social care.
Anyone who wants to get published should visit The Rose Theatre, where there will be a number of discussion groups taking about the processes involved, overcoming your fears, and acheiving your goals. They will also be holding a Euphonix concert, and children's puppet shows.
Other events include a book swap, pop-up museum, and a Big Sing at Kingston Market, where the community choir will be teaching music. Have a look at the full itinerary to find out when things are on.
