Highly regarded blues-rockers
King King and hot new Birmingham band
Broken Witt Rebels have rescheduled most of their forthcoming UK tour and will now play
Robin 2 in Bilston on March 4, 2017.
The change is due to problems King King's lead singer and guitarist Alan Nimmo is having with his vocal cords.
He explains: "
I've seen my ENT specialist. He put a camera down my throat to look at what condition my vocal cords were in. Unfortunately, there's still a good bit of inflammation and redness. I've been working with a vocal coach to build strength and stamina to aid my recovery.''
Four original 2016 dates will be honoured - Edinburgh Queen's Hall on November 25, Chester's The Live Rooms on November 26, Clitheroe's The Grand Venue on November 27 and
Islington Assembly on November 29.
The shows re-scheduled to 2017 are The Globe in Cardiff (January 13), Frome Cheese & Grain (January 14), Norwich Waterfront (February 3), Southampton 1865 (February 4), Exeter Phoenix (February 18), Brighton Old Market (March 3), Robin 2, Bilston (March 4) and Aberdeen Lemon Tree (May 14).

"We're determined to take King King to new heights," says Alan. "We enjoy winning over new fans who've discovered us for the very first time. We're also excited to have Broken Witt Rebels supporting us as they are a fine example of how a young rock group can connect to their rock and blues influences and still make it sound fresh and exciting."
King King's first live album, featuring the full audio from a storming concert in Glasgow plus a DVD of a sold out show at the Holmfirth Picturedrome in West Yorkshire, recently went to number one on Amazon's Best Sellers Blues Rock chart.

Having scored three radio hit singles on Planet Rock with the songs
Crazy, Hurricane, and
Rush Hour, King King received a nomination for Best New Band at the 2015 Classic Rock Awards. They followed up with a UK arena tour supporting Thunder and a
headline tour last May.
In 2014, King King won five 2014 British Blues Awards, including Best Album and Best Band. They supported John Mayall on his 2014 UK tour and their 2015 album,
Reaching For The Light, was voted #1 album by
Blues Rock Review.
Completing the line-up with Alan Nimmo are Lindsay Coulson (bass), Wayne Proctor (drums) and Bob Fridzema (keyboards).

Support: Broken Witt Rebels (pic: Steve Moulin)
Being chosen to support King King is just reward for Broken Witt Rebels who have created a massive buzz of the last six months. A rush-released single,
Guns, generated almost 400,000 views on YouTube in less than 48 hours.
Chosen by the fans,
Guns is the second single to be taken from the band's
Georgia Pine EP. Produced by Tom Gittins, who has previously worked with Robert Plant, the previous single,
Low, was a featured track of the week on Radio X.
Guns pays homage to their hometown of Birmingham, once a major centre of the gun making industry.
The four-piece comprises James Tranter (guitar), Danny Core (vocals), Luke Davis (bass) and James Dudley (drums). Their bluesy southern swagger has drawn favourable comparisons with Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes and The Black Keys.
