I was tempted into Kim's Bulgogi by a friendly, smiling server on their very first day of opening. She encouraged me to try and few samples of their dishes: beef Bulgogi and chilli chicken. They were both delicious, so I ordered the beef Bulgogi to take away, along with some rice flavoured with vegetables. I quickly ate it up on my way along the road: it was absolutely delicious. I vowed to return to sit and eat at a more leisurely pace the next time!



I wasn't disappointed by my return visit. The waitress remembered me from the week before, including what I had ordered, and was on hand to suggest something different for me to try. I ordered chilli chicken with noodles. It was made fresh to order and was sweet and spicy. I really enjoyed it.



I also tried a traditional side dish of cucumber kimchi. I mentioned that I had heard that fermented foods were great for digestion and I was directed to the cucumber kimchi at the back of the fridge. Kim's have bowed to customer demand and make their kimchi fresh every day, but it develops in flavour and fermentation after a few days, so the ones at the back would offer me a better and more traditional experience. I have to agree: as I was eating it I was also offered one of the fresher ones to compare and the fermented one was more tasty, with a deeper flavour.



To finish off, I was also recommend to try an Aloe Vera drink, which beautifully set off the chilli chicken, which had been made freshly to my order.



Overall, I am very impressed with Kim's Bulgogi: they provide quick, friendly, and knowledgeable service and serve delicious, traditional Korean food. I would recommend it if you are looking for a takeaway in Stockbridge: it's one of the best I have tried.
