In a deep dark forest in the far north of England, Christmas trees are growing and little elves are busy in their workshop making toys to fill the stockings of little children on Christmas Eve. Mrs Christmas is baking delicious seasonal treats and Father Christmas is reading letters and finding out secrets as he prepares for all the children who will be visiting his woodland home in the weeks before Christmas Day.

Out in the forest little red squirrels gather in the nuts that will help to see them over the winter, while reindeer can be seen from time to time. Overhead thousands of stars fill the sky in what is the darkest place in Europe while the lure of fresh air and the smell of pine trees draws in the visitors.

Kielder Water and Forest is holding its annual Winter Wonderland to trill adults and children of all ages. You can have a great day out in the wilds of Northumberland and meet Santa and Mrs Claus in the beautiful forest setting with fir trees and a lake.

Get excited at the elves leading you through the forest to see Father Christmas in his home, help Mrs Christmas with her many tasks, laugh yourself silly in a jolly theatre show and make sure you meet Mr and Mrs Beaver and the Snowy Owl before you go. It's all part of the experience on your amazing day out at Kielder Winter Wonderland.

You can also shoot down a snow tube, try a bit of ice skating and see the snowy owls that live in the forest. There's so much to do.

Prices are per person and range from £32 - £35 (depending on the date) for a full day of entertainment.

All tickets are subject to a £4.50 booking fee.

Tickets are selling fast so book as soon as you can if you want to meet Santa and Mrs Claus in their Kielder Forest home.
