Build Fantastical Machines

The Quad is a multi-entertainment complex in Derby with a cinema, gallery, and cafe bar. It shows the best independent, world and mainstream films that are on offer, and also runs workshops for artists and the community. They also run special projects aimed specifically at children at their KidsQUAD area.

'Clocking In' Film Project

Saturday 12th January 2013 - Saturday 23rd March 2013

To tie in with the International Photography Festival, KidsQuad are running a film project for 7 - 11 year olds, in which they will create their very own sitcom about working life. The children will develop a plot that explores how characters' lives are intertwined by the daily grind of life. They will have the opportunity to star as actors, directors, and camera men as they become filmmakers.

The course runs every Saturday between 10.30am - 12.30pm, and costs 70 for the term. To book, call 01332 290606

'Mad Machines' Film and Animation Project

Monday 18th February 2013 - Tuesday 19th February 2013

A two-day course for 7 - 11 year olds, children will work together
to make a magical film by building mechanical machines, creating amazing animations, and filming the process along the way. Each day lasts between 10.30am - 12.30pm, and costs 20. To book, call 01332 290606.
