A newly reopened theatre in Staffordshire has made sure that the kids haven't been forgotten by laying on a number of shows exclusively aimed at the little ones. Young children are invited to visit the refurbished Tamworth Assembly Rooms with some popular kids shows announced as part of the new-look theatre's opening season. The Assembly Rooms has a great entertainment line-up for families, ideal for little children and big children, as well as toddlers, parents and grandparents, perfect for an afternoon of fun. The packed programme includes children's favourites including Sooty, Sarah and Duck, Mr. Men and Little Miss and the Twirlywoos. First up is perennial favourite Sooty who is joined by Sweep and Soo plus TV's Richard Cadell for a spectacular magical treat of tricks and side splitting jokes. Sooty's brand new Magic Show, which comes to the Assembly Rooms on February 21, features Sooty's flying car, Soo's singing unicorn and Sweep's levitating sausage! The show can be seen at 11am or the matinee performance at 2.30pm.

This is followed by the enchanting world of the well-loved CBeebies show, Sarah and Duck, which is brought to life on March 24, at 1pm and 4pm. Children will be taken on a magical journey with Sarah and Duck and a host of friends including The Ribbon Sisters, The Shallots, Flamingo, plus John and Umbrella, as they plan a birthday party for Scarf Lady in their garden. Then the next major treat for little ones is an invitation to join their favourite Mr. Men and Little Miss characters as they leap off the page and onto the stage in a beautifully crafted live stage show, on April 14 at 1pm and 3.30pm. For almost 50 years, Mr. Men and Little Misses have brought joy to millions of children all over the world through self-expression and humour. Featuring Mr. Bump, Little Miss Splendid, Mr. Tickle, Little Miss Inventor and many more, Happyland bursts to life in a series of colourful and timeless stories told through puppetry and music.

Other great shows will soon be on sale, including the Twirlywoos in August. The producers of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show and Sarah and Duck Live on Stage will bring another enchanting show for young audiences. Expect mischief, music and plenty of surprises as the Twirlywoos bring beautifully inventive puppetry from the hit TV show.
