Having just been to a festival with with lots of stallholders selling antique and vintage bears, I know how expensive these kinds of items can be. If you want to collect of style your home with vintage items, then money will have to be no object, or it is a considered purchase.

At least that was the case until Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair came along. Founded by Judy Berger in 2005, her aim is simple, 'source amazing vintage traders from all over the UK, check them for affordable, incredible, knock-off-your-socks-stock, and then get them all together.'

Her fairs cover everything from fashion and furniture to homeware and handmade. Taxidermy, tea sets, vinyl records, you name it. Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair has tours over thirty cities, and the next stop is London. On the 21st September Maylebone's Affordable Vintage Fair arrives at Seymour Leisure Centre. Entry is 3 between 10.30am - 11am, but it is seems sensible to wait half an hour, because after that, admission is only 2 until 4.30pm.

You may be wondering what 'affordable' means, as it is all relative depending on your budget. This question was indeed posed on Judy's Facebook page:

'Is this going to be affordable to people who live in Marylebone or affordable to less affluent people?'

It's going to be affordable for all! Our traders ensure their prices are reduced for our fairs and often offer extra discounts with traders coming from all over the UK brining vintage without the 'London' price tag. Items will start from a few pounds.'

Some of the exhibitors include Bottle Green Vintage, who stock women's clothing from the 1960s - 1990s. Items range from 15 - 42. You will also get to see, Blackwaterside's Gibb vintage jewellery and outfits. Then there's Thy Lovely Bones, who re-works and customises vintage clothing, as well as making cards and other crafts.

If you can't make it, then you won't have to wait long to get another chance, as on the 5th October, Judy's Affordable Vintage Fair will be at York Hall in Bethnal Green.
