We've all seen Gavin Malone and his superb 'choir' TV programmes showing us the fun to be had singing with others as well as the joy and happiness it brings to audiences, so how about giving it a go yourself?
If you're aged between 8 and 21, then take a moment to seriously consider getting along to an audition for the brand new
London Youth Choir.
According to its website, the aim of the new choir is to "provide London's young singers with a world class choral education and to create a flagship ensemble to represent the city of London on a world stage," – and you could be a part of it.
The choir is certainly setting its sights high, aiming to become one of the best youth choirs on the planet.
Organisers are looking for youngsters who have "a good ear, a good level of sight reading and who are passionate about singing." Is that you?
Auditions cost £10 per person, but if you're unable to afford the fee, you're asked to contact a choir manager to see what financial aid options are available.
Auditions run throughout September, with a few dates also available in early October – be sure to book your place as soon as you can to avoid missing out.

If someone's ever told you you have a great singing voice, or even if they haven't, take a couple of hours out of your regular routine to audition for the London Youth Choir. It could turn out to be one of the best decisions you ever make.
