Home Run - Guided Runs Home From Work

It's for genius schemes like this that the Internet really comes into its own. Home Run is a new initiative that aims to get Londoners up and running, making new friends in the process. But it's not just some simple running club – no, no, it's much cleverer than that.
Home Run means replacing your tube or bus ride home with a gentle jogging session.
All you need to do is go to the
Home Run website , sign up to a run, leave work in your running gear and hook up with your fellow runners at the designated meeting point. You'll then get to enjoy a social run home, jogging at chatting pace for a distance of between two and six miles.
Currently there are almost 50 routes to choose from, with more being added all the time. Liverpool Street to Leyton? You're covered. London Bridge to Greenwich? It's on the list. Canary Wharf to Waterloo? Give it a go. Waterloo to Clapham Common? Yep, there's a run for that.
If there's no run listed coinciding with your route home, you're welcome to suggest a new one. Click
here to see the current routes available.
A lead runner will be at the meeting point and when everyone's gathered and ready to go, they'll show you the way.
Obviously you won't want to be lugging your bag while you run, so Home Run lays on a bag carrying service (one bag per person) – just remember to collect it when you reach your destination.
Most of the running courses follow tube and bus routes where possible, so if you find yourself gasping for breath along the way, you can break from the group and jump on a bus instead.
The service, sponsored by Samsung, is currently free for all participants, though in the future a fee may be introduced.
