Where would we be without John Lewis to decorate our homes and make our lives that bit more convenient? After a hundred and fifty years, we would feel lost without them.
To celebrate their big milestone anniversary, John Lewis is holding an exhibition at the Design Museum, exploring
How We Live Today. You will get to learn about all its past and present products, from an item's initial concept to the design and manufacturing process to hitting the shelves.
Running until the 21st September, you will also be able to see some specially designed commemorative products from some of John Lewis's long-standing suppliers. For example, there will be Henry's cousins, 'John' and 'Lewis' vacuum cleaners, a LEGO storage box, a Fisher Price Chatter Telephone, and a vintage style pram.
On the 20th September there will also be family workshops, such as
Cooking with Codasign, Radicals Rooms, and Okido Magazine.
Entry to the Museum is £12.40 for adults, £9.30 students, £6.20 for under 16s, and free for under 6s. If you are a John Lewis member, then you get 30% off.
