I didn't think anyone could beat Moka's carrot cake, but the Espresso Bar Cafe at John Lewis certainly gives it a run for its money. At 3.50, this giant slice is big enough for two.

The sugar paste carrot makes for excellent presentation, although too sweet to actually eat.

The layers of butter cream are gorgeous, and complement the moist carrot sponge, which is also dotted with raisins.
