After initially meeting in Scotland in 2018, Canadian Jocelyn and American Ellen joined musical forces and have since been gracing stages and captivating audiences. They have been featured in live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and performed at festivals including Celtic Connections (UK), Harrison Festival of the Arts (Canada), Sutton Traditional Fiddle Festival (Canada), New World Festival (USA) and Northwest Folklife (USA).

They fuse traditional and contemporary influences to create uplifting and soulful music that includes their own original melodies and high-energy tunes from Scotland, Ireland, North America and Scandinavia, complemented by vocal harmonies, and lively Canadian stepdancing to “add life and fire” to the repertoire. Their debut duo album, All It Brings, was released in July 2022.

Fiddle player Jocelyn Pettit hails from the west coast of Canada and has released three multi-award-nominated solo albums, Debut, Caravan and Wind Rose. With her band and other collaborators, she has toured Canada, the USA, the UK, Europe and Malaysia. She has shared the stage with The Chieftains, The Battlefield Band and Carlos Núñez and has a Master of Music Degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

From the East Coast of the USA, Ellen Gira is an accomplished cellist who has performed throughout North America and the UK. She has collaborated and recorded with many traditional musicians, and is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Trad Cello Pedagogy at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
