New York, Paris, London. Which is your favourite city? Get into the groove of all three as The Jazz Department send you back to the beatnik years of swanky nightclub beats.

From 8pm-12am on the 30th May, Ryan's Bar in Hackney will proudly host a downstairs dance do that will feature legendary musicians of the 1950s and 1960s. Listen out for favourites, such as Jimmy Smith, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Jon Hendricks, Nina Simone, and Frank Sinatra. There will also be a vinyl collection from DJ, Jeniffer Jackson, plus live tunes from Lady and The Tramps.

Tickets are 5 at the door, or 2 after 11pm. Remember to dress the part. That means beatnik, vintage, retro, smart, or Hollywood glamour. Need some inspiration? Think La Dolce Vita or Bell Book and Candle.
