The Epsom Derby is considered the richest and most prestigious thoroughbred horse racing event in Britain. Its history goes as far back as 1780, and is raced on a one and half mile flat track course. The stakes are high for all involved: the jockeys have a reputation to uphold, the stakeholders have money on the line, and the audience - well fashion is everything at the Derby. There is a strict a strict dress code: black morning dress and top hats for the gents, and ridiculous looking hats or fascinators for the ladies. Ticket or no, if you're not dressed the part, you don't get in. And with adult tickets costing between £84-£99 standard entry, you won't want to be caught out. Children's tickets aren't cheap either at £45-£55.
