Learning a new language is not easy; it is something best picked up in the early years of childhood, rather than as an adult. But if you would like to challenge yourself, broaden your cultural horizons, or improve your employment prospects, learning a new language is an excellent way to do that.

At the Lingua Diversa School in Red Lion Square, they teach Spanish, Italian, French. Portuguese, German, Russian, and English as a second language. These come in several formats, such as one-to-one, ten week courses, and online study.

But if you are unsure which language you would like to learn, or how committed you are, then another option is also available. For £5, Lingua Diversa also offer one off introductory lessons. These one hour classes allow you to test the water, discover if it is the language that interests you, and find out if you like their teaching style. Classes are taught in groups at various dates across the year. The next scheduled classes are:

Spanish - 29th May, 6.30pm-7.30pm
Italian - 31st May, 11.30am-12.30pm
German - 31st May, 12.45pm-1.45pm
Portuguese - 31st May, 2pm-3pm
