Some people might be a little bit concerned if you started taking in interest in Class A drugs, but over at Kew Gardens they are enthusiastic to teach you everything about them, as well as lots of other mind-altering plants and fungi.

Their will feature talks, documentaries, walks, and workshops that will teach you about the powerful chemicals in plants that can either act as a medicine or make you go a bit do-lally. Each weekend will look at a different type of mind-altering substance, such as alcohol, cannabis, coffee, and magic mushrooms.

There is a 10% discount on standard entry when you book online, making tickets £13.50 for adults and £12.60 for concessions. For £5 over 18s can also join the Plant Connoisseurs' Club, a workshop in which you will be able to explore a variety of plants and even sample them (after signing a disclaimer).
