I write this review with genuine affection - it is quite simply a delightful little shop. i discovered it quite by accident while walking in Midtown, and boy, I was glad I did.

is the only bricks-mortar magic shop in London, so if you come across it, it really is worth a moment or too entering and having a browse around...

It is amazing to see all of the gags and equipment used for creating the tricks that delight and confuse. There is such variety too, the walls are full of cabinets hosting everything from card tricks to coin magic , and much, much more besides.

It is a family-run affair, and has been so for the last 50 years, this is the reason why the welcome is so warm and friendly when you enter.

My absolute favourite part of the shop has to be the counter. Normally a place for buying things in other shops, here it doubles as a performance and demonstration space, where tricks are shown that are as impressive as anything you have seen on tv - the only difference being that you can walk away with the trick you have seen, and the tools you need to perform it yourself. You may even find the odd up-and-coming, or even established magician popping in to say hello from time to time...

With your interest piqued, you may also like to consider attending the magic convention they hold yearly (though not this year, meaning you have plenty of time to prepare for 2016's event).

All in all, a delightful shop where the magic happens as soon as you get through the door...
