'The World's Greatest' is having his day, again, in Bradford. A charity retrospective of Muhammad Ali's career, In the rings with Ali , has opened at The Midland Hotel. The iconic American boxer, who was born Cassius Clay, inspired many through his memorable triumphs and ability to 'float like a butterfly, sting like a bee'.


His speed and agility as a heavyweight boxer won him titles and the admiration of all who watched him bounce around the ring. It's not just Ali's boxing prowess that won the crowds though; he was a philanthropist and a funny and intelligent individual whose quotes live on.

Boxing fans can see the sporting hero in previously unseen photos. Marvel at the great Ali in his most candid camera shots, and wonder at the thoughts behind the poses, whether posed, or relaxed.


The brainchild of Christina Jansen, who photographed the boxer in the eighties, the exhibition sees many famous photo prints up for sale.
