Until now, I always thought the Ideal Home Show was specifically for home owners who were renovating or redecorating. As far as I knew exhibitors featured companies selling furniture, lighting, wallpaper, etc.
I don't know if it is just because this is the Christmas edition, but it turns out that I was wrong. The I
deal Home Show at Christmas is a major shopping exhibition that takes place at Earls Court every year. Tickets are £12 for adults (£12 seniors and free for under 16s), and grants you access to a whole range of different gifts, including accessories for the home, outdoor living, technological gadgetry, and fashion and beauty.
There will also be everything you need to get ready for Christmas, from presents and decorations to fabulous food. Not only that, but there will also be an ice skating rink with a bandstand. Live performances will take place daily, with groups such as
The Rock Choir,
CK Gospel, and
The Swingtime Sweethearts. A twenty-minute session is £5 for adults and £3.50 for children, and is in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
There will be several stages in which you can watch live theatre demonstrations, such as how to
make show stopping Christmas cakes, floral designs,
fine wine tasting, and tips on how to de-clutter your home.
Fashion fanatics will enjoy various dance shows taking place on the catwalk, as well as a guide to keep to your ideal weight. The kids on the other hand, will have fun in the play zone, where they can play board games like Bananagrams, build with Meccano, or make beaded jewellery.
The Ideal Home Show at Christmas will run between the 13th-17th November, and tickets can be bought in advance or at the door.
