It was a sad day when I heard that the Hugglets Teddy Bear Festival would have to be cancelled this September due to Covid-19 and even sadder when the same was said for the Teddies WinterFest in February. Yet despite the fact that we cannot go Kensington Town Hall and receive chocolates as we line up to see those beautiful teddy bears in the fur, Hugglets will thankfully continue.

The organisers have worked hard to find a solution and they have found it in the form of their first-ever online festival . The usual one-day event has been extended to three days, meaning that the festival will be held between Friday 26th February from 10am to Sunday 28th February at 6pm.



The festival will be held on a closed Facebook group, which is free to enter if you become a member of their new Hugglets Club . The club costs £12 per year and provides you with free tickets to all their Hugglets events (when the physical incarnation can resume), the Hugglets catalogue, raffle tickets, discounts, and access to the closed Facebook group.



If you do not wish to join the club, but would still like to attend the online event, you can buy an entry ticket for £6 here .

As usual, the festival will include a select group of teddy bear artists and dealers who will give presentations and displays of their bears, but the online event will also include an array of new features, which include 'lectures, interviews, tutorials, live events, special offers and valuable surprises'.

Although not quite the same as being able to see the bears in person, it is the next best thing and a chance to join in with a community of like-minded enthusiasts.
