Pastry - has to be one of life's luxuries if you ask me. Sweet or savoury, hot or cold, I love them all. If you feel the same, get yourself along to the - a relatively recently opened store in the iconic building that sits on the divide between Old Street and Great Eastern Street.

Now depending on how long you have lived around here, you may remember this place as being a bank, or as the amazing bar known as the Foundry, now as the , we have a place serving some of my most favourite food - pies.

Beef, Chicken, Fish or vegetarian are the options available to you - simple, clean, delicious. No elaborate sounding exotic combinations or anything like that. Also you can add such essentials as mash, gravy et al for that true East London pie shop experience. A full English is also a possibility, if that is more in keeping with your hunger pangs, or there are an assortment of breakfast pastries, and two puddings, should you really want to fill your boots. Everything is locally sourced, here, so you can eat relatively guilt free...

I should leave the last paragraph for the cocktails - yes they have a cocktail menu here too. The thing that puts their menu ahead of many others in the area - all of their cocktails are only £5. I think I can stop this review here, as you have probably got your coat on and are already checking the map for directions - see you there then....
