If ever you needed a bit of motivation to get active, then let Marie Curie Cancer Care give you that extra push to set you sailing on the way to fitness. Getting into the sporting mind frame will not only be good for your own health, but will also bring a ray of sunshine into the lives of terminally ill patients.

If you want to raise money for Marie Curie this year, then why not get on your bike, put on your hiking boots, or set off on a grand adventure? The charity has dozens of events that you can take part in and, if none of them appeal to you, you can even organise your own fundraiser .

Want to go that extra mile? Literally? Then challenge yourself to one of Marie Curie's big time fundraisers. A triathalon may mean three times as much work, but is three times as rewarding too. But that is nothing compared to an ultra-marathon, which could see you running between 25km - 100km. It also gives you the fantastic excuse to roam the great wild world in a trek overseas . See awe inspiring landmarks like Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, and The Great Wall of China.
