It's in Blackpool, it's scantily clad but most of all, it's beautiful.
Hot Ice has been visiting Blackpool for 75 years but still manages to dazzle and impress all the patrons that pay to see it. How it manages that exactly, is by the skill the skaters have, how they effortlessly command the ice with style and pizzaz and the way in which they interact with their audience.
Now this is by no means the most perfect, beautiful ice show in the world, however it does offer that Las Vegas style glitz and glam that Blackpool manages to recreate time and time again.
This year's show involved a bunch of outrageously 'out there' costumes and some really eye popping props, from a dozen giant flags to a large square the size of three skaters, it even had a bath tub and a man in Speedos! To be frank, the aesthetics swayed into that kind of awful Vegas style show that you picture on a stag doo.
However the show as a whole pulls through as a entertaining and fresh experience and should definitely be on your list of places to go when you visit Blackpool.
