It appears gastropub,
The Horseshoe in Hampstead, was the stepping stone to Jasper Cuppaidge's now staple
Camden Town Brewery based down near the railway arches in Camden Town.
I was able to head over to
The Horseshoe with a friend, who had spoken highly of the pub not too long ago. Upon arrival I could see why, the exterior has a gorgeous rustic yet modern charm, and the interior matched the outward appeal with glazed long wooden benches and high ceiling lights.
Their menu reflected that of many other pub's in North London, but it all comes down to taste, atmosphere and service for me.
When it comes to taste,
The Horseshoe does deliver to some degree. I ordered their signature burger whilst my friend ordered the steak.
The burger was cooked medium and quite firm for a beef patty. When it comes to the meat in burgers, I am used to the delicious messy looking patties you get from
Meatliquor and
Honest Burger,
The Horseshoe delivered a more respectable looking patty which did not compromise the taste.

The steak came out medium and was tender and moist, just as a steak should be. The accompanying chips in both orders were crunchy, always a must when it comes to chips.
The atmosphere in the venue was low key, however I have heard that the weekend does bring a collection of families and local revellers alike and you may have to wait for a seat.

After having been to
The Horseshoe I have decided I must make the trek locally to
CamdenTown Brewery and see what all the fuss is about.
