Kiwis. Fun, fresh, full of flavour, and I'm not just talking about the fruit. Kiwi culture is rich, diverse, and soon coming to a festival near you. The
Homelanz Festival features more than just New Zealanders though; it celebrates talent from the whole of the southern hemisphere.Taking place on the 10th August at Boston Manor Park, you can see the best musicians from New Zealand, South Africa, and down under.
Bands include
I Am Giant,
What Now, and
Blue King Brown. There will also be an acoustic stage, giving tribute to great guitarists such as David Gander, Ny Oh, and Jakob Diest.
Another way to enjoy yourself is at the silent disco; put on your head phones and start dancing. Take them off, and laugh at all the people dancing to nothing.
Aside from the music, you'll find a rugby bus, kids' zone, and delicious cultural cuisine. Tickets are £30, but if you arrive a day early, you can also enjoy a pre-festival film screening of
Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, presented by the Nomad Cinema.
