Youngsters in Staffordshire are looking forward to a real treat this Christmas when a new seasonal children's story comes to the live stage over the festive period. , which is performed at the
Lichfield Garrick theatre from Tuesday 12th December to Sunday 31st December, is described as festive fun for little ones. It will be performed in the more intimate atmosphere of the Garrick's studio theatre, with performances even taking place on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day for that special seasonal treat, as well as on New Year's Eve, which is the final day of the production.

New Old Friends theatre company, is described as a wonderful, fun-filled adventure for younger audiences. The show tells the story of a mother who audiences will meet as she struggles under the weight of her enormous Christmas tree and a 'to do' list longer than her arm. She is faced with having to get everything done on time and still make it home for Christmas. During her quest to make it home on time she also meets and helps out lovable and amusing characters along the way, including clumsy sheep, lost birds, stranded farmers and even mayors in a pickle. Can she help them all and still get home before the snow is due?
, with its gentle rhyming story full of warmth and joy, is expected to captivate younger audiences and be a marvellous festive treat for families. New Old Friends are an award-winning company who create theatre with a desire to entertain the largest audience possible. The company is run by its founder Feargus Woods Dunlop and Heather Westwell. Feargus founded New Old Friends in 2008 and Heather later joined after meeting him following the company's debut show. Together they have built New Old Friends into a national touring presence producing reliable, engaging, accessible shows that make people laugh. Heather and Feargus got married in 2012.
can be seen at the Lichfield Garrick theatre from Tuesday 12th December to Sunday 31st December. Performances on December 12 to 15 are at 11am and 1pm, Saturday 16 December at 11am, 1pm and 4pm, December 19 to 23 at 11am, 1pm and 4pm, Sunday 24 December at 11am and 1pm, and December 26 to 31 at 11am and 1pm. Tickets are priced at £11.50 for adults and £10 for schools for ages 2-7, plus a family ticket for £38.
