Warner Bros Studio Tour London –
The Making of Harry Potter – has transformed into a Christmas winter wonderland full of festive spirit that has all that visit bewitched. This self-guided tour sees sets covered in shimmering silver and blankets of snow.
Whether you're a fan or not of the iconic wizarding books and subsequent films, this is something special to behold with glittering Christmas trees, glorious wreaths and garlands lining the Great Hall and a replica feast with roast turkeys and flaming Christmas puddings laid out on the long table, whilst the top section of the hall decked out for the Yule Ball displays an orchestra of magical instruments set amongst snow and icicles.
Around the remainder of the studio, snow has fallen on the Hogwarts Castle model (some say the crowning glory of the tour) and the famous cobbles of Diagon Alley, special-effect fires roar in the fireplaces and the Gryffindor common room has been filled with treats.
Get up close to all the props and costumes used in the films and take in the sets as they were for the festive scenes. Learn how magical creatures were brought to life on screen and discover how the film-makers created fire, ice and snow that never melts.
Take in all the standard features of the studio tour too, seeing the recreation of Platform 9 ¾ and the original Hogwarts Express steam engine, exploring Dumbledore's office and never-before-seen treasures, plus so much more.
To enhance your tour further, pick up a complimentary activity passport from a staff member. It includes a fun Golden Snitch hunt, puzzles, trivia and spaces for souvenir stamps that can be collected at key points throughout the tour. Also available are digital guides, souvenir guidebooks and a green screen experience flying a broomstick over London. More on these can be found
here .
is included in the standard ticket price.
Tickets must be pre-booked. Prices start from £39 per adult and £31 per child (5-15yrs). Ages 4 and under are free.
Drinks and snacks are available at the Studio Cafe, whilst hot food and Butterbeer in special souvenir mugs can be had at the Backlot Cafe. Alternatively, you can bring your own food and enjoy the picnic area.
There are some cool shops here too. The Studio Shop offers a range of collectable items, replica wands, clothing and confectionery; the Forbidden Forest Shop is full of forest-themed souvenirs, from plush spider toys to peppermint toads and chocolate frogs; and the Railway Shop sells gifts, homewares and a whole array of apparel and accessories.
