"Get ready for the musical event of the season as Cole Porter's timeless classic, High Society, skips into town, in a dazzling new production from the acclaimed producers of The King and I." - The Birmingham Hippodrome

High Society

It has long been contested whether cinema is better than theatre, after watching my first play at the theatre at the tender age of 12 my mind was made up. Theatre wins.

High Society, as the name is implies, is about the trials and tribulations affecting those 'in' high society. Adapted from Porter's film, High Society promises an evening of scandal, old-school glamour, and a healthy helping of music and laughter.

Based on the film where Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly captured the audience's heart with their screenplay, and got hearts racing, it's fingers crossed as to whether High Society will receive rave reviews in Birmingham and live up to the hype behind the film.
