Do you have the perseverance of a god? Then if so, why not challenge yourself to a Herculean race around Wimbledon Park Stadium?
The Hercules Wimbledon Athletics Club was founded in 1967, and provides training and competition for men, women, and children of all abilities. Each year they host two races at Wimbledon Park Stadium, where they are based.
First up is the Perseverance 5km Dash. The exact date it yet to be announced, but will happen some time in August. Members can sign-up for £7, while non-members can enter for £9 by registering online. You can also register on the day for £10. Children between 11-16 years old can also enter for £4 advance or £5 on the day. Spaces are limited to five hundred, so advance booking is recommended.

On the 6th October, the even more hardcore can enter the Perseverance 10km Road Race, which starts at 9.30am. It will be the 53rd annual event, and is one of the oldest races in England. Registration is £17, with a £2 discount for members, and 10% of the entry fee going towards The Wimbledon Guild. There £300 worth of voucher to be distributed amongst the winners.
