Hearts n Crowns: Jewellery and Accessories

I was in White Hart Lane Barnes recently and came across a shop so new that you can still smell the paint. Jessica Clarke, who has a background in fashion retail and design, set up shop a few weeks ago, although she has been designing and making her own jewellery for the past five years. She finally decided that the time had come for her to showcase her own designs, rather than just to sell to other independent retailers.
Jessica makes necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, rings, tiaras and hairclips, all at very affordable prices. F Her handmade silver and gold rings start at £10 and bracelets and necklaces made in silver and gold and set with precious stones cost between £20 and £80. Vintage Dior, Gucci and Chanel cost anything up to £250 and above, but I'm sure you can find a special person to treat you for a special occasion.
She explained to me that her interests are in both the Art Deco period and in modern jewellery. Using expertise and experience gained at the London School of Jewellery and West Dean College she has put together an eclectic range of accessories. Some of her creations are combinations of contemporary beads and Swarovski crystals, mixed in with restored vintage stones. You can also find jewellery made from metals such as gold, silver and copper worked in with fabrics like leather, suede and ribbons.
She does not restrict her products to jewellery, but also sells a range of bags, some vintage and others modern. What is eye catching about her shop is the way in which she displays her wares. In order to show off items that are not very large she accessories them with dressmakers' dummies, birdcages and the antique Serata treadle sewing machine that was used when she first started to design her own collections.
Jessica is happy to let you browse her stocks without any pressure, but is on hand to offer suggestions and advice if you need her help. She is currently showcasing her 'Jewels of the Tropics', Art Deco and New Modern Collections, as well as her Classic and Bronze Fleur Collections.
Hearts n Crowns is a one stop shop both for exclusively commissioned pieces for weddings and special occasions and for affordable treats when you need some retail therapy but don't have a huge amount of cash to splash.
White Hart Lane is close to Barnes Bridge Station and is served by 209 and 419 bus routes. There is car parking in the area.
